Our Unforgettable Trip to Costa del Sol, Spain
Recently, my husband and I had the most amazing getaway to Costa del Sol, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best trips we’ve ever had! From the stunning beaches and sunshine to the friendly locals and unforgettable experiences, it truly was the perfect holiday.
Where We Stayed: The Holiday Village Hotel
We stayed at the Holiday Village All-Inclusive Hotel, which was right by the beach — and wow, what a view! Every morning, we woke up to the sound of the waves and those beautiful ocean views that instantly made you feel relaxed.
The hotel itself was incredible. Our room was spotless, modern, and super comfortable. Our room was pretty much an apartment, we had a kitchen and living room and a huge balcony. The staff were so friendly and always happy to help, which really made a difference. The food was fantastic — there were so many options every day, from fresh salads and international dishes to themed dinners. And I have to admit, my favourite part was definitely the dessert section of the all-inclusive buffet (because who can say no to all that cake and ice cream?). Even the on-site shop impressed us! It had everything you could possibly need — from snacks and drinks to toiletries, toys, gifts, and even clothes. The prices were really reasonable too, which was such a bonus.

Fun at the Resort
There was always something to do at the hotel. One of the coolest features was that it had a whole other side you could get to by crossing a bridge, and that’s where their mini waterpark was. It was perfect for both adults and kids — a great place to cool off and have some fun in the sun. they also had pool tables, sections to eat and they even did hair braiding too.
Days Out and Adventures on our Costa Del Sol Holiday
We made sure to explore beyond the hotel too, and our excursions were absolutely amazing. First, we visited Selwo Marina, where we got to watch a beautiful dolphin show and see all kinds of animals up close. It was so interesting to learn about them and their habitats — it really gave us a deeper appreciation for wildlife.
We also spent a day at Selwo Aventura, which was such a unique experience. It’s part zoo, part safari park, and we got to go on a safari tour that brought us right up close to the animals. We even got to feed some of them, which was such a special moment!
And one of the highlights of our trip was the El Ranchito Night — a spectacular horse dancing show. The talent and grace of the horses and riders were incredible to watch. It’s definitely something I’d recommend to anyone visiting the Costa del Sol.

Final Thoughts
Overall, our trip to Costa del Sol was everything we hoped for and more. The combination of sunshine, sea views, great food, and unforgettable experiences made it the perfect escape. If you’re planning a trip to Spain, I’d highly recommend staying at the Holiday Village Hotel and visiting Selwo Marina, Selwo Aventura, and El Ranchito Night. Whether you’re going as a couple or with family, there’s something for everyone — and I promise, you’ll come home with memories that last a lifetime. We also vlogged our trip which is on our YouTube channel if you would like to see everything we got up to or if you are planning to visit any of these places you can check it out.
